WellnessTactics ("we", "us") publishes this magazine, its guides and its shop. We are the data controller for personal data described here. Questions: hello@wellnesstactics.com.
What we collect
- Newsletter data — your email address, sign-up date and source page.
- Account data — email, login credentials and role, for editorial accounts only.
- Purchase data — order and entitlement records for guides. Card details are handled by Paddle, never by us.
- Support messages — anything you send us by email.
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, browser type and IP address.
Why we use it
To send the newsletter you asked for (consent), to provide and deliver guides and shop access and to answer support requests (performance of a contract), to keep the site secure and prevent fraud and to understand what readers find useful (legitimate interests), and to meet tax and accounting duties (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host the site, store our database, send email and provide analytics.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of digital guides, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We never sell personal data. Affiliate links to retailers are tracked by those retailers under their own privacy policies.
International transfers
Some providers are located outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days. Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires (normally six years). Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. Anything else is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and you can withdraw consent at any time — every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. Email us and we will answer within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database permissions and least-privilege admin accounts. No system is perfect, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences, and limited analytics cookies to count visits. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; essential ones are needed for sign-in and checkout to work.
